2. Description of Service

Locatr is a Chrome extension that helps users discover and explore places by providing:

  • Place search functionality using Google Maps data
  • Detailed place information including reviews and ratings
  • Direct links to Google Maps and place websites
  • User account management and usage tracking

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of Locatr, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

You agree to use Locatr only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Free Tier

Locatr offers a free tier with limited searches per month. Free tier usage is subject to fair use policies.

5.2 Paid Services

Additional searches can be purchased through our paid plans:

  • 30 additional searches for $1.99 USD (Starter Pack)
  • 100 additional searches for $4.99 USD (Pro Pack)
  • One-time payment, no recurring subscription
  • Payments processed securely through Stripe

5.3 Refunds

Due to the digital nature of our service, refunds are generally not available. However, we may provide refunds at our discretion for technical issues or billing errors.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

Locatr and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Third-Party Content

Place information, reviews, and ratings are provided by Google Maps API and remain the property of their respective owners.

6.3 User License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Locatr for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

8.2 Third-Party Data

Place information is provided by third-party services (Google Maps). We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of this information.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
